Polyester Resin Additives
Polyester resin additives are the general name for chemicals added to modify the processability of the base resin (liquid plastic pulp), the curing process and the properties of the final product (strength, durability, appearance, etc.) as desired. In short, they are the components that turn the raw resin into a "usable material".
LSA Solution
Dissolved polystyren solution in styren.
LSB Solution
Solution of polyvinyl acetate dissolved in styrene.
Paraffin Solution (10%)
Dissolved paraffin solution in styrene.
Paraffin Solution (15%)
Dissolved paraffin solution in styrene.
Foam Cutter
It is used to remove the foam formed in the mixture prepared during the application of polyester resins from the system.
Amine Accelerator
Used where very fast curing is required. Reduces the shelf life of the resin.
Amine Accelerator
It is used when fast curing is required. The effect of the resin on shelf life is very low compared to PA06.
Inhibitor Solution
Mixtures containing inhibitors to increase the shelf life and gel time of resins and gelcoats.
About Additives
Polyester resin additives are critical to optimize the production process and improve the quality of the final product. Each additive fulfills a specific function, improving the processability, curing properties and mechanical performance of the resin.
Important Note The correct usage rates and application methods of additives directly affect product performance. They should be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
